The TINA'99 Conference was successfully held 12-15 April 1999 at the Turtle Bay Hilton Resort on the north shore of the Hawaiin island of Oahu. Sponsored by the Telecommunication Information Networking Architecture (TINA) Consortium, 139 researchers and practitioners from 19 countries congregated to discuss the application of distributed system concepts to next generation telecommunication systems.
